Maybe double check that there might be a foal or a stallion coming back. Added the mare did tell the foal to hide.

Even if he doesn’t return, the foal can’t fend for itself. Especially if it hasnt weaned since it still wants/needs miwkies, it’ll starve even if it somehow manages to find food

One of the classics, and a perfect little piece of sadbox. The mother managed to save its foal from abusers, but it’s still doomed to die sad, alone and starving.
