Further Revision and Compromise between Fluffy Purists and Conversationalists

today we have a new subcategory under the Community Posts section.
(Note that it no longer says “Memes” in the title. There’s a reason for this)
The new subcategory is called #community-posts:shitposting
In order to see this category you will have to opt in by joining the Shitposter Group.
There, you will be able to resume posting memes, polls, and conversations that are not fluffy-related.
Personal gripes, depression posting, positivity posting, Getting To Know You posts, and more will all be relegated to this subcategory.

We’ll try this for a while and see if it makes the overall experience better.

That definitely works better than just shutting down such posts lol. I’m fine with this. There will obviously be instances when someone doesn’t know where the memes go, but that is easy enough to deal with.

It’s gonna be a blurry line, but for memes, just assume they go in Shitposting. They can always be moved, in less than a second.

Btw, may I ask you to unlock my shitposts?

I thought I already had, but I’ll look into that in a moment.

EDIT: Nope, I was wrong. Apparently I can’t just delete the Closed post, I have to go into the controls and re-open them.

Thank you.

Seems like a good idea. For the people who don’t know how to use discord they can post in that category, and the people without head trauma don’t have to look at it. Seems like a win win

Sweet. No problem with memes, I just want to have to opt in.

Making them optional is a good choice overall
